Sorry, I thought you said Blog.
But I’ve got no secrets that I’ll babble in my sleep I won’t make promises to you that I can’t keep. And you know that I love you Here and now, not forever. I can give you the present, I don’t know about the future. That’s all stuff and nonsense.

YES!

I just saw my very first preview for the new season of Friday Night Lights. And I TOTALLY CHEERED.

If you don’t already watch this show, you must. It is, hands down, the best show on television.

May 7th!

“Have you noticed that all of our conversations degenerate in to talking about what we want to eat?”

Friday night was J’s bachelorette party - incredible vegan food (hello, tofu BLT with sweet potato fries…), Luck Cheng’s, etc. Late night with some of my favorite people. Saturday was a lazy morning, seeing one of the coolest plays I have ever seen, dinner with my best friend (up from Philly for the weekend), and a trip to the beer garden in Astoria for my co-worker’s birthday. Hungover on Sunday morning, I went to brunch (egg whites scrambled with mushrooms and goat cheese topped with pesto on a wrap with a side of hash browns and salad) with my cousin, came home, took a nap, and woke up to find The Boy was not far away. Lazy Sunday night with scallion pancakes, Vietnamese spring rolls, giant salads, Tasti D-Light, watching TV and laughing.

Just need to get to Thursday night..

To look forward to until then: super fancy lunch at the Beslin in the Ace Hotel for the aforementioned co-worker’s birthday, a board meeting, and post work hangouts with some of my favorites.

I was just thinking -

That while missing my person is unbelievably difficult, I am damn lucky to have somone worth missing.

This weekend will be:

My fabulous co-worker’s play reading, home, sugar free baking, beaches, Boy cooking dinner, beautiful spring weather (thanks for finally joining us), driving, mix cds, my dogs, my bed, Cadbury Eggs, wine, wine, wine, sleep, waffles, family, friends, late night tea, wine, sundresses, aviators, and relaxation.

Hello, Springtime. I missed you.

So soon!

The Boy and I are going to Cape Cod before a wedding on Memorial Day weekend. Perfect. PERFECT. A road trip, The Boy, the beach, and fried shrimp. DONE AND DONE. Oh, and free continental breakfast and a wedding. All things I like.

I really, really need a vacation of some kind.

That is all.
